Description
When Do You Need a Double Wall Corrugated Box?
You need a double wall corrugated box when the shipment is heavy, fragile or stacked on pallets. Double wall board at 48 ECT carries up to 100 lb of box and contents under the carrier Rule 41 table, and 51 ECT carries up to 120 lb.
Double wall boxes protect glassware, electronics, auto parts and multi-unit cases. The extra liner adds corner strength for pallet stacking in warehouses and freight.

Custom inserts lock fragile items in place inside the double wall. Compare lighter options in custom RSC boxes and all board grades in custom corrugated boxes.

FAQs
Is double wall stronger than single wall?
Yes. Double wall board adds a second flute and a third liner, so it carries heavier loads and resists stacking pressure.
