Description
What Size Box Do You Need for a Cake?
A cake box needs about 2 in (51 mm) more width than the cake and 1 to 2 in (25 to 51 mm) more height than the tallest decoration. An 8 in round cake fits a box about 10 x 10 x 5 in (254 x 254 x 127 mm).
The cake sits on a cake board slightly wider than the cake, so the box measures from the board, not the sponge. Tiered and fondant cakes travel safer in E flute corrugated board.

FAQs
Can a cake box have a window?
Yes. We cut a clear window in the lid or front, so the decoration shows without opening the box.
